JCW Red Stitching Look's Great so.....

So do you order with or without the armrest?

I had an armrest on my previous 05 MCS and liked it for the convenience. However, they get worn over time and look bad. Not to mention passengers always seem to invade my space when I had it on the old Mini and that makes shifting uncomfortable and awkward if it's someone you don't know well. I was in a Mini the other day without it and didn't seem to miss it much. Not to mention the red stitching on the handbrake looks good and I don't want to hide it. I also thought the car felt more open and the cockpit felt bigger. What do you think?

Any thoughts good or bad? I don't plan on getting the Nav or iPod dock so don't factor that in your thoughts.

Thanks,

Crayonman

I like my armrest in my JCW. In my opinion it does not hide the stitching or look. Add a little more storage.

My big complaint is when I am aggressively driving the top slides open from my arm. So if it feels in the way I just flip it up.... out of the way.

Just wish the top piece wouldn't slide so easy.

Good point...it can just be moved when you want it out of the way. Anyone figure out how to make them slide less easily, so they stay shut. That always annoyed me too. So the red stitching is still pretty visible under the armrest. Good news!

Thanks!

Definitely get the armrest - I really love it. Even with the loose sliding action that I haven't figured out a way to stop. I didn't get Navi or iPod dock either. Just got the iPod adaptor and a Garmin + mount. Mush better deal that way.
