How Do I Install JCW Hood Scoop

I need to remove the hood scoop on my R53 MCS to install a JCW Carbon Fibre Hood Scoop. I've searched the forum for information and it sounds really easy. Just remove the 4 nuts from the underside of the bonnet and wiggle the scoop free. Unfortunately, 2 of the nuts on the front edge of the scoop are hidden by 2 flat pieces of black plastic. These slide a little from side to side but how do I remove them? I don't want to use brute force and break them.

Thanks for any help you can give.

It's easy

just pop them off. Don't worry about it.

So I just get hold of one end and gently pull?
