JCW differences from mcs?

Really looking into a mini coming out of my 335i lease here.

Can I get a quick run down of the differences between the two.

175hp to 208,,,, thats 33 horses.

Dose the JCW have a bigger twin scroll turbo? And whats the boost?

I have seen this Jan guy is coming up with a reflash,, kinda funny how there isnt one for the mcs yet? There are several for evo's sti's and bimmers.

I dont really care for the super handling or the great brakes,,, more just the power.

And whats the deal with the stage options for the jcw to the mcs? Are these just ecu tunes? Or are they offing a bigger turbo?

Thanks for helping clear up some newb fast questions.

yes bigger turbo, boost 20.5.jan has a tune for the jcw(i am running it now)

The stage option for the mcs is just a canned tune a rear mufflerbox and a airfilter.

if you put nitrous on a stock cooper s it would run as strong as a Factory Jcw.

Thanks James,, thats quit a jump from the 12psi from the mcs.

No nitrous for me..... It will be interesting to see what the "toon" Jan gets.

Looks like $1k to do this.. All in all, I think I will look for a JCW from the get go and leave it alone

I think the RMW tune on a stock MCS is around a min. of about 20 whp. Bit more if you dyno tune it.

Jan already has a tune for the MCS and there are a couple other options that pretty much everyone here will agree don't compare or are junk (ie: unichip). For stage 1 money you can get the tune from Jan, his flashloader (if it ever gets released) and a factory JCW catback.

Not sure about the turbo, isn't the MCS a K-03 hybrid and the JCW a K-04? I'm prolly mistaken.
