JCW strut tower brace, will it help a 2009 MCS convertible?

All of the searching on whether a JCW strut tower brace makes a difference, seems to be for the hardtop. I have a 2009 MCS convertible JCW stage 1. Will it make a difference in a convertible? I had an 07 MCS hardtop, and my current conv is noticeably more "loose" so to speak. My 07 was much more stiff and rigid. Any convertible owners have first hand of before and after experience with this? I am thinking of ordering one.

I cannot believe not one other person on this board with a convertible has a JCW strut tower brace. Come on people, not takers to comment?!

This seems to be a mixed topic on any MINI cooper. Plenty of people will say don't bother spending your money on it others with say go with it. I went with the M7 STB as it was a bit cheaper and looks better. Personally I think it helped my hardtop out.

^I have a GTSpec brace and I love it. I feel it, even if its effects are just in my mind lol.

I have the JCW Strut Bar/Brace, but it was installed by the dealer before I picked up my 09 R57, so unfortunately I don't have any before experiences to compare it to. I also have the sport suspension, and I can tell you that the ride is pretty stiff with my specific configuration, which I really like.

I also have Strut Bar and Sway Bar. I notice those make a huge difference when you corner really hard. Reduce body roll.... not by a lot tho...

i have a convertible jcw 09 and want to get the brace too, but it is costly. I had an appointment set up, and took the day off, only to get there and an hour later they come out and tell me the part isn't in stock. I made this appoint 2 weeks in advance.... what a joke. This was at Manhattan MINI. Maybe they did me a favor and it's just not worth it??
