I just got myself a 09MCSa and love it. But I wanted to add more zip to the car. I could change to other performance parts but I figured changing to JCW parts would be safer in terms of the warranty void situation. Any thoughts?
Using JCW parts would probably lead to less "push-back" from the dealer in case of a warranty dispute, but mods of any brand won't void your warranty anyway, unless the dealer can show that the changed parts led to the problem for which you're seeking warranty coverage.
In other words, if you're seeking warranty coverage for a burned-out headlamp, it's not going to matter if you have a JCW intake or an Alta intake on your car.

I could be wrong, but if the JCW parts are not installed by the dealer, you might have a hard time getting them to repair/replace the part. I will eventually find out, as the umpteen JCW parts on my were all done sans dealer.

exactly what i was gona say.
dealer has to put em in to ensure "proper" installation, and in the mean time make a quick buck installing bolt ons.
from what i know the jcw exhaust is a cat back system right?
oes anyone know if the jcw exhaust conects at the DP or does it involve cutting the muffler in a certain area.

Correct. I had mine installed locally. The JCW bolts onto the existing pipe, which has to be cut off. Very easy job, took my mechanic about 40 minutes.Originally Posted by Topmini
