JCW spring prices?

Hello Everyone:

I recently installed the Helix camber plates and Koni FSDs on my R53 along with the stock springs. It seemes to have raised the height about 1/2 to 3/4 inch. I am hoping to lower my car back to stock height by using the JCW springs that are supposed to lower the car by about 1/2 inch. I don't want to deviate too far from stock height as the manufacturer has stated that going lower reduces the life of the struts.

Does anyone know how much the JCW springs cost?

Thank you!

I think I paid around $300 for the set from Morristown last spring. I still do not have them on the car .

Thanks hunter 99. Has anyone else purchased these JCW springs or know a good source for these?

Hello,

What do you think of the Koni's? I am considering for my 07 MCS and using the JCW springs probably.

I have std suspension not sport currently. But heard the sport/jcw is pretty stiff for poor roads.

Thanks,
jb

I like the Konis. The only unfortunate thing about them is that they do raise the car. Non runflats and the Konis add up to a pretty good ride for the Cooper S.

Other than calling dealers to look for the best price, I would watch the NAM Marketplace because people sell their used JCW springs after going to something else, such as Coil-Overs. Look at the NAM Vendor Directory for dealers, many will provide a NAM discount.

Also, I suspect that much of the ride height increase is from the camber plates because the Helix design raises the car about 3/8".

Morris Town was the cheapest I found, but I had to use my office FEDEX account to get them to ship to PR.

I used Hendrick Mini about a month ago - $304 for the springs, but I bought the full JCW suspension for my '05 R53. Don't know if that makes any difference. Talk to Bruce there.

your increased ride height likely came from the Helix camber plates. Its been documented that they raise the ride height.

Here is a side view of my 2006 MCS GP with JCW springs, 18 wheels, and 215/40x18 tires. The JCW springs drop the car about 5/8".
