JCW GarageInterested in John Cooper Works (JCW) parts for your 2nd Generation MINI? This is where JCW upgrades and accessories for the MINI Clubman (R55), Cooper and Cooper S (R56), and Cabrio (R57) MINIs are discussed.
Too expensive if you ask me. I already had my spokes done by Rogue Motorsports here in AZ, I was just wondering who else provides them and for how much.
That UK site shows a carbon covered gas cap for 180 pounds. I had Rogue do mine for $95.00 and then I recently sold it to a local guy and am having Jim do a carbon kevlar one for me, I'll be posting some pics when I get it.
I just installed my JCW wheel today. After I figured out a couple of things, it took me about 20 minutes to do the entire swap. I love it!! Here is the one pic I have so far. I have another goodie to add to it, it just isn't here yet!!
here's my JCW steering wheel ........ with only the center cf insert.
i want / need the other 2 cf insert. But will they match? We'll have to wait and see.
You should definitely check with Rogue, you can PM him here or email him, the wheel just doesn't look complete without the other two inserts in carbon. You may even be surprised at the cost. Look for Rogue Se7ens or email Jim at roguemotorsports@gmail.com, there have been some really positive comments about his work on this site.
Have it, one of my favorite mods, feels wicked. If you're pinching the pennies, the Whalen shift **** was a bit better value per dollar, since it's generally 1 hand on each, but I would never own another Mini without either of them.
The Alacantra feels a lot like real suede, but seems to be holding up better, absolutely no wear marks after a few months of daily use. If anyone else in the area gets one, I'd be happy to install it for you, takes about 5 minutes.
I have a launch edition 09 JCW with the Alcantra JCW steering wheel, after 1 year it still looks brand new, no wear at all. Like it so much I'm going to put one on the GP.
that's not an alacantra wheel, nor is it a JCW, interesting custom job on the standard MCS wheel 'tho. Sorry mate, adding carbon fiber trim does not make it a JCW wheel.
The JCW wheel is fatter & softer than the standard wheel.

I said: All carbon Fiber plus inserts
See here I thought you were just ignorant to what the thread was discussing "JCW Alcantara Steering Wheel INSTALLED!"
If you want to bling out your interior w/ tons of carbon fiber look stuff, all the power to you, but you should start a thread like "Look at me !"

I've had it on my 2011 JCW tuned MCS for about a year. Much prefer this over the stock one. Only JCW interior bits I have are the steering wheel and shift ****, and I'd buy them both again without a hesitation.
