On the R53, the strut brace definitely makes a difference. I took my bar off and gave it to my brother a couple days before I sold it, and almost had a heart attack around the first turn I took at speed - I thought I was going to hit the wall cuz the car took so long to turn. That said, I think it has much less of an effect on the R56.
