I have been saving my pennies for the JCW Tuning Kit to put on my 07 R52 and right now it looks like it
might take till next income tax return to come up with the full amount for the kit and the install.

So my question here is, does anyone know how long MINI intends on producing this kit or is the end near?

I don't want to get so close only to find out that they have quit producing the kit for the 1st Gen MINI's.

 

Someone may know, but I would just give the dealer a call. I know last time I ordered parts there were grumblings that some stuff was being fazed out. Classic Mini has the kit on clearance right now at around $4300 from the usual $5200 if that means anything.

Definitely check with dealers. I would be surprised if the kit has not already ceased production, and what's being sold is the remaining stock. The question is, how much of a supply MINI has and how long it will last. The critical point comes when a dealer cannot order a new kit from MINIUSA. Then the only available kits will be what dealers have already stocked.

Months ago, Classic ran a special for the JCW Sound Kit (for non-S Coopers) and said that they will be unable to order new kits from MINIUSA. The same will happen for the Tuning Kit, it is just a matter of time.
