I have followed the instructions http://www.mini2.com/pdf/onboard_computer.pdf for the OBC and have it all hooked up. What do I need to tell the dealer so that activate the OBC. Kelowna MINI, which was excellent for service, did not know where to find it in the computer or what had to be done.
Any advice that I can give them so they can turn it on?

I would assume you just tell them you retrofit the OBC and need them to activate it, if they dont know what to do then find another dealership, cause that surprises me they that wouldnt, or maybe bring the PDF doc and show it to them. Maybe that will help them know what to do

 

I thought with the PDF they could figure it out.
I even showed the SA the pdf online and he printed it out but the technician was not sure about playing with the computer. Hopefully another dealer can turn it on for me.

I got mine activated 2 years ago and my MINI tech knew exactly where to go in his computer to get it done. It took 2 minutes.

Here went in the programmable option and it was in there...
