Interior/Exterior Tint type
Tint type
I'll be receiving my MCS in the middle of May and was thinking about getting it tinted to save me from the Houston summer sun. The dealer says that they can get it tinted for around $500 which is crazy and there is no way I will pay that much.
However, they did have this amazing semi-metallic tint film that seemed to block out almost all infrared energy from the little demonstration that they had set up on the dealer floor.
Does anyone know who the manufacturer of this tint is? I want to find a more reasonable location to get this tint applied in Houston.

Any good tint shop will have a range of good films, be they Llumar, Solar Gard, or 3M, and a good shop won't try to upsell you too far. $500 is insane, though.
Last I saw, Texas allows no more than 25% reflectivity, so you do have to watch for that on the metallic films, but I know Solar Gard has a film that isn't very dark at all or too reflective (13%, IIRC) that is more effective than some darker films.
