From what I've read, and the people I've talked with about it, I'd guesstimate 9.5/10. I abandoned my interest.

**under my breath** egh SISSY

Still though, how much does this save weight over stock? Is it even worth it? Or is it more for ba-ba-bling

I don't remember the exact amount but it's not that much lighter then stock. The vis stuff is a layer of CF over the top of fiberglass.

According to their website, they can shave 50% of weight on some of their hoods, but I wasn't sure about the MINI. They have no specifications on the site...

Thanks for the info Minimusprime

So no one knows the actual weight difference?

Sounds like a real pain to install.

Is the inside finished like the outside?

ive heard the weight differentce is very small, only a few pounds lighter. and if its cf on fiberglass then no the inside will be a different finish. (not sure but I would be surprised if im wrong)

Im sure a rear seat delete would save more weight then this, but damn it looks sweet! dopes car is badass looking.

Shame the weight saving isnt more. I wanted it to save the weight. I had intended to get one sprayed Electric blue on the outside, but when opening the bonnet you would see all the CF. Then it maintains the stealth look on the outside. Any CF bonnets/hoods that actually reduce weight?

The problem is that our hood doesn't really weigh that much to begin with. I thought it would weigh a ton more...but my buddy removed his and then tempted me to try lifting it. Much lighter than i ever expected.

the difference if i recall was like 30 lbs or something.. I forget it's been so long now... but that coupled with taking out the back seats and doing other weight saving mods is alot...it adds up quick... like the GP a little here a little there... next thing you know it's 250 lbs!

Yea, weigh savings of this hood is more then people here have speculated. With a little work I even got mine down another 30%. Factory hood is much hevier. I'll try and weigh both in a few days.

As soon as I find out where Im living in the next few months I will be putting a ViS CF hatch on to compliment the hood. But eventually....I will be going fenders and doors in CF.....
