Uber arches thread disappearance

Ok, so what happened to this thread that was oh so much fun and doing the diligent deeds of honest, hard working NAMers?

Conspiracy...

Nevermind. The anodized antenna thread should do mighty fine replacing it!

The board has the right to lock a thread or edit out inappropriate language but it is inappropriate to delete a thread. One thing is to police and censor launguage but its another to delete threads and play GOD.

Maybe PU threatened them with a lawsuit. That does seem to be their standard threat whenever anyone points out their game.

I asked about the thread, and was told that it was removed pending review, since there were complaints about the thread (imagine that).

It's been "under review" for several days now, though. I was expecting some kind of resolution by now. I agree that deleting a 250+ post thread without warning or comment from the moderators seems a little Draconian.

The forum owners have the right to do what they deem fit with a thread, and that one had gotten pretty aggressive. Too far? I didn't think so, but it's not my forum, so my vote is just one suggestion in a forest of others. I doubt my life will be altered much one way or the other because of one thread.

I did, however post my confession in the lawsuit thread.

The thread was certainly casting Palo Uber in a bad light, but there wasn't anything there that wasn't factual, and if you view the thread in the context of some of the other threads on the board that are either simply locked and left in place, or even allowed to continue, it seems strange that the arches thread was wiped off the face of the earth without warning or comment.

Vendors get called out all the time at NAM - sometimes fairly and sometimes not. BUT I must say this no matter the twists and turns of a thread at the end of the day if you read it all, filter out the crap, the cracks, the jokes and ribbings you can typically come away with an accurate information.

My recollection of the thread having filtered out all of the above was a simple question - what hand in the body kit design did Palo Uber have in the design?
The body kit picture "presented" was from a kit we had all seen previously. The core of PU products is the artist contributions/vision that PU brings to its products.

Its a fair question since this is their key marketing point that differenciates themselves form others.
