Here is a link to lamin-x, their covers are really good an installation is easy.

During installation is a good time to also black out your headlight rings if you are so inclined. Here is a pic of mine. Be sure to post some pics when you are done.

Yeah, it is kind of steep. I was on the fence about it for a while but just went ahead with it anyway. I don't regret it though, the material is really thick and goes on well. I believe 3M also makes a film. Let me know if you find somewhere else that is more reasonable, I need to do some other lights.

Its true, i just added a pair of amber fog lights to my car, i guess the white light gets reflected back in the fog and rain, and the amber color actually gets through it giving you better visibility ........let us know if you find another place where the amber film is cheaper, i also want to amber out my headlights!

Good way to meet with Johnny law. First one that sees you most likely will pull you over. It is a cool look though. I don't buy the helps you to see better. Just my .02 cents.

$49.95 for the kit.

Used their stuff on my outback XT, pretty great quality, kinda on the thick side, but it worked great while we had the car. Saw the yellow film on a WRX, looked good, but legality was an issue.

The visibility is ok, not any worse than without but not improved much either. The contrast seems enhanced for picking up things on the edges of the light beams, like on either side of the road. No problems with the cops either, and I pass them every day. I guess in a big city they have more important things to worry about, although it does give them probable cause to pull you over.

the law shouldnt be able to bother you. usually its a red in front or blue in back that they can pull you over for. yellow is a legit aolor for a street vehicle. it is a fog lamp. and they are not illegal to use.

It's against the State Laws usually but not here in AZ!... But, then again, I don't follow the laws....

the covers shouldnt be a legal issue, after all fog lights, which can be used by themselves are totally legal in most states.

personally, i dig the look but like the blue light of the stock ones better

I respectfully disagree with you. The white lights that came on our MINI's are DOT approved. Putting yellow covers on them would likely not be DOT approved. Hello officer, they said it was OK to do this on the NAM MINI forum.

Just my .02 here.

The laws vary by state. Mine are legal.

fog lights are totally legal. if you want to run them with only your driving lights, you can. again in most states. i am referering to NY,NJ,Conn,FLa,AZ.

so if you were to put an amber cover over your existing headlight, you would just be converting it to a giant fog light.
I know most every state has laws against blue or red lights, for obvious reasons, but not amber.
again, ive ran cars in the mentioned states with amber only and never had a problem.

cali sucks when it comes to vehicle laws!
here they are the mecca of the hot rod movement and they choke the auto enthusiasts. ide never move there just for the strict rules they have on vehicle owners.
although im rite next door in AZ and we seem to be following Ca a little more then i like to.

well, pre '74 (i think, cant remember) there's no smog so as far as really rodding a car out its doable. just not with new cars :(

you guys still have no smog inspection in AZ right?

we have smog from 66 up. and no cats till 77 for trucks 76 for cars.
that and a gas cap pressure test. pretty easy to pass if the car is in decent shape. if not, retard the timing going in and it passes everytime
