o.K., I did this modification during the weekend, I think it looks good.
What do you think of this, do you like it or not?
Please be honest.
Thank you.

I think it looks HOT, I would rather have the storage though...

Looks pretty good. The storage there is not that much I think I would rather have them up by the tach where I can see them easier though.

Very nice.

I'm assuming these are the guages from MiniUsa. When you ordered them were they sold as a single package or as a set of separate pieces? The reason I ask is that I'm interested in just the mounting plate for the console guages--minus the guages themselves--so I can pick a set that more closely resembles the tach/speedo.

thanks.

How does the panel stay in place? I velcro'ed mine to the pillars.

The gauges are sold by BMW in Europe for the Mini cooper and mini Cooper S, the panel stays in place using some screws that go directly to the center console near the ash tray.
The have the same orange back light like the tach and the speedometer.
The part number for the complete set is part #82 94 0 148 956, If you don't like the gauges included in the kit, the plastic mounting plate (#4) is available separately and probably will allow the fitting of any standard size VDO gauges, part #82 94 0 015 951.

Chobe...did you do the install yourself? If so, was the witing loom difficult to get through the fire wall? Also, did you have to disconnect the battery and remove the radio?
