I've been looking into upgrading my MSC's Supercharger Pulley and I wanted to know how easy is it to install? Or how hard is it to install? Should I do it myself or have it done at a shop?

I'm going to upgrade my pulley too, and like to do my own work, but from what I've read that can go wrong if installed improperly...I'm going to have it done by a professional with alot of experience doing them. Just my 2 pennies..

 

I did the install myself. Carefully followed all the instructions, including torque specs and thread locking compound.
Yet, even with these precautions, my pulley slipped on the shaft ruining my supercharger....... leaving me to pay some VERY HEFTY repair bills on a car that's still under warranty.

If I'd spent a little money paying a professional to do the job, then THAT PROFESSIONAL would be paying for the repairs........

Use your best judgement on this.
Modding is fun, but there can be some consequences that go along with it.

BTW, if you follow the instructions from Webb, the job isn't difficult. You need a friend to help you manipulate the engine while raising/lowering the jack.

I've read through the Webb install, I didn't remove half the stuff he did when I installed mine.
