Hiya kids, does anybody have (or has anybody seen) the Alta lightbar installed, with only the two outer lights mounted? I live in a "front license plate required" state, but love the look of the lights mounted low down like that. Would omitting the two inner lights provide sufficient clearance for my stupid front license plate? Thanks in advance!

I'm also from WI...haven't had a front plate on the MINI since I received it (shhh, don't tell anyone), and haven't had any problems yet (knock on wood) - even though I've been pulled for other infractions (I swear, you simply cannot drive 25mph in the darned thing).

Anyway, back to the subject at hand. I just installed the Palo Uber light bar, which I believe is very similar in final outcome to the placement of the Alta. Although I installed all 4 lights, I think it would still look pretty sweet with just the 2 outsides mounted.

If trouble arises in the future (plate related), I may remove the two center 7" lights and mount 2 smaller 3.5"ers there and clear the tag with a custom bracket.
