Anyone have these two lights mounted on their car? Thinking of buying them, but not sure if i want ff1000 driving with hella 500 fog, or all 4 hella 500's.

 

I've never heard of that combo on a MINI here. 500s, yes. FF1000s are huge. If you stick 4 on the bonnet you need a some kind of reinforced bracket and its going to look pretty out of whack with the car ... I mean out of proportion. 500s are big enuff already.

If you want lighting power, check out the FF200s in Xenon. A pair of those brighter than FF1000s and much smaller in proporation to the car.

keep in mind that the OEM and PIAA brackets need an "extention" to fit the mounting cup of the FF1000. But they Do put out some light.

 

The Out Motoring brackets also need an extension. I'm having a local sheet metal shop fabricate some out of 1/8" s/steel, about 8.2 cm long. I'll have pics up of them when I pick them up tomorrow (hopefully). Apparently the Money Pit (Tom Hanks) principle of 2 weeks applies to fabrication too. (except this was 3 days, stretched to 8 so far!)
