Another thought...although it's expensive, I noticed that you could buy a replacement mirror adjustment unit with the seat heater switches installed...wonder if they could double as light switches. Or, find a totaled MINI and scarf out that part.

Both are good ideas.
The toggles i got from radio shack are pretty heavy duty. But
we are only using the 55W bulbs and have yet to put in the 100W
bulbs.

Yes, with the current 55W bulbs, they do dim a little when the
car is idle. It's great because it seems like the MINI wakes up
once you put your foot on the gas!
