Interior/Exterior The Union Jack-ification Thread

Wow - I ALMOST wish I had an R56 to put all his new R56 stuff on - the center stack domed UJ decals ROCK - as do the side indicator UJ decals...
I also like the two-tone UJ a-panel treatment - might have to do that... or some variation.. I like that better than the full coverage a-panel vinyl previously available, at least for my car...

I hadn't paid much attention to the center stack in the R56's, but that decal is a BIG improvement. Like you said: ALMOST makes a person wish for an R56.
I'm not sure about the a-panel decals. I've seen some I like, and some I didn't, and I'm really not sure if I like the look or not. Decisions, decisions.
I'm getting ready to order a new UJ for Gromit. I'll post pics when I get it done.

I can't believe this thread hasn't had a new post since Sept 28!
Here is my latest mod:
I always liked the UJ Mirror Caps, but just couldn't see putting red, white, and blue on a Hot Orange/Black MINI. To match Gromit's colors I went with orange, chrome, and black. I had the chrome mirror backs from when I bought Gromit, but had changed them out to body colored backs after a few months.
I got these decals from a vendor in the UK, and like the Bimmian decals I've seen in this thread, they allow the base color of the mirror back (in my case chrome) to show. The first one took about 45 minutes to complete since I was learning as I went, but the second one took 15-20 minutes.
Don't have any pics of them on the car yet. I was going to swap them, but while trying to remove the first one I think I heard one of the clips break. I need to do a search and find the post about removing the mirror to gain access to the clips, then I'll try again.

Thanks!
I have removed the caps before using that method, and that's what I was doing today when I heard the dreaded 'snap'.
I thought that was all there was to it, but wanted to refresh my memory before I went and disassembled the car.
I only have one very small wrinkle, really close to the inside (against the car) edge and a couple of small bubbles that are almost invisible. Considering there are 26 decals total (13 per cap) I think I was pretty lucky.
back when I did the swap, I just looked at the one I had in my hand, and used a flathead screwdriver to pry the clips off, make sure it is long and skinny...
