Girl Power! OK.. that was pretty easy. Took about 1/2hour.. I need to go in and straighten/tighten things up a bit but it was getting dark in the carport.

I found it really simple to remove the torx and just press down and pull out the tubes (didn't remove them all the way at all).

I chose to poke hole/put the screws back on the outside on the right because I'll be using those connections for a phoneholder thingie. On the driver's side I replaced the torx before wraping the cover so they are hidden underneath.

Here is a quickie pictorial ... proving to any female out there that we can do mods too.. go for it!

I wish I would have thought to do that before cutting big holes in the leather .

Thanks!
I thought of it after my friend complained about me poking holes in the right side... I justified my action (post-poke) with the fact that I will be adding the phone holder and would need access to the screws.

I used "Charcoal".. it matches very nicely with the steering wheel, its just a tad lighter than the dash/glovbox and works together well.

The two black/red photo's above are my car. I removed the tubes all the way to mount the leather and ensure it was good and tight. I only put the top screw back in at this point. The downtube covers and shift/brake boots match perfectly and look good. Quality products from Redline.

I love how tight yours look. When I installed mine (and took the pics) it was dark and I was working from the carport and interior lights. I have since "tightened and straightened"... need new/better pics..
I agree Great product!

I had the same lighting issue. By taking them completely off, I was able to put the leather on inside the house under lots of light. At the top, I used a couple of drops of superglue to hold the leather on the inside of the tube and clamped with some clothes pins. That way, when re-installing everything stayed tight.

RedlineGoods,
The pics showing here seem to show the stitch line moving out from a straight line at the toggles, is this just an install difficulty? Thanks Mike
