Need some help with 6-point racing harness and mounting recaro seats

So I got two Recaro Pole Position and now I need to get some 6-point racing harnesses and mounting hardware for the seats. I didn't think that much about mounting but I think it's time to start thinking how to do this now.

I need these mounts, right?

What about sliders? Where do I find those? Will this mounting hardware bolt right in existing holes? I don't need to drill in the floor, right?

I'm thinking about Schroth Profi II (ASM) 6-point in silver, can someone tell me if I need the ASM? I noticed that they are different for driver and co-driver. And they seem to be 4-point by default, I think ASM is only needed when running 4-point setup? It is supposed to be some kind of "Anti-SubMarining", so you don't slide out of the belt underneath, but that wouldnt be a problem with 6-point.

EDIT: I might add I'm throwing out the backseat!

So I was thinking, where do I bolt this harness? Again, do I need to drill? I wanna try to keep it clean and reversible! Also, does anyone have any experience with this harness or do you recommend any other? I'm not sure about the locking mechanism either, my friend has a sparco harness and he says that their style lock is so much nicer and it kind of looks like it as well, do any of you guys have any experiences with these?

This is how they look in a E46 M3, so sweet.

Thanks in advance!

For mounts, this might be the simplest way to go:
http://www.bkauto.com/mini/r9270.php
They're available from other places, too. Looks much like the bracket you have pictured, but mounts directly to the factory sliders. I don't know if the Brey Krause mount has an attachment point for the factory seatbelt or not, though.

Harnesses... ummm... who wants to break the bad news to Mario?

To run something other than the stock belts, you really should have a rollbar in the car.

Thanks for the answer!

I'd love to have the Recaro mount but it might be much cheaper going with that one you posted. I know I should have a rollbar, I'd love one but money money moooooney! I've read some about the Autopower and it looks nice, if I could get ahold of one for a nice price I'd get it!

Anyone else that got some experience on this?

just mount a bar across the bar and you can mount the harness's. Or go with a rear seat delete where you can use the schroth harness.

Rear seats will be going out!

Another thing, the original belt, is the holder mounted to the seat or? I mean when I remove the seat, can I still use the 3point original belt? Why I'm asking is because in Sweden you will get a no belt ticket if not using a 3point belt, even if you have a 6point racing harness on.

You can still use the original belt. Do you even have to wear a seat belt in Sweden?

Thanks, I just found this!

Yeah we do, the fine is $220 if you dont wear your seatbelt. $360 if you have a minor in the car and you havnt made sure he/she has a seatbelt on. And I bet the insurance company wont look at it lightly.

When you take the OEM seat out the belt mech is attached to the seat and can be pulled off to mount to your new seats. The Recaros should come with the adapter bracket welded on (if you purchase their bracketry) but mine was a seperate piece. I really like those gray Schroths (6 point) but my Sparco Torinos aren't set up for anything bigger than a 4-point unless I cut a hole in the seats. You will be fine with the PP's. The 5 and 6 point harnessess are the reason for anti-submarining. A 4-point lacks the crotch support to do this. If you don't have a roll bar or cage installed...your only bet I believe would be to get the Schroth quick release 4-point option like we have on the BMW. Otherwise, fork over the money for the Autopower 6-point cage. I've seen it sell for as low as $600. I got mine new for $400 though. I will hopefully be installing mine starting tomorrow as I am doing the BBK also. I will take good pics for you. FWIW, you can't go wrong with Schroth or Sparco. I am probably gonna go with Sparco cause I like 'em. But, I have also been looking at Takata's. Let me know if I can be of further help.........

That is awesome man! I'll probably go with the http://www.bkauto.com/mini/r9270.php since it seems so much easier and cheaper then the Recaro solution. I hope I can get the seat belt lock on it somehow?

Good luck with installing that! You got the roll bar or roll cage? Are you making holes in the interior or are you throwing it all out? BBK  Got any pics of your cage?

Where did you get yours?

I've also looked at Takata's, they are cool but I don't have anything green so I think the Schroth's would look better and they seem very good as well. And the Takata's are expensive as hell!

Answers - 6 point cage. What interior? I do. From the local dealership SPEC race team. That's where I snagged most of my cool parts. Takata is like functional bling. If I can't find any Sparco gray harnesses...I will go Schroth.

Damn son! That thing is badass! I wouldnt mind a full cage just the price holding me back.

Is that thing bolt-in? As long as it is easily reversible back to stock I don't have a problem! Hook me up!

Yeah...it's bolt in. Also, I have always loved his M. Just never really seen pics of the interior. Saw his new car on E46 a couple days ago....What a badass.

Kind of urgent, where do I mount these? If we are speaking about the drivers side. The left lap belt will bolt into the lower left oem belt point. the shoulder belts will bolt into oem rear seat holes.

But what about the right lap belt?! The one close to the center console, how the hell do you mount that one? I really appreciate any help I can get on this!
