Interior/Exterior Rain-X Wiper Blades
Rain-X Wiper Blades
Anybody rocking these? I just picked them up at Autozone. Same cost as Bosch and their generic ones. They seem to do a nice job, full contact with the glass, no chatter. I haven't had a full on downpour yet, but they seem to be good, and at $9 I won't be heartbroken if they don't hold up. I am kinda annoyed that the little wing on the driver's wiper can't be moved to a new wiper, but whatever. I saved both old blades in case the dealer takes pity and reblades them for me.
Wipers are covered under warranty and the dealer will replace them free if they start to streak or have other problem. When I brought in my car for 10,000 mile service, my dealer replaced the wipers and I didn't even ask for it.
yeah i have them for a while and i need to replace mine seeing i didnt know that before hand i threw my old ones away so my dealer wont replace them but yeah ive gone 130 and they dont lift up

GOTCHA both!!!
IBFTL!
Hey jumpy quick edit, limits here are 55 and get on I-90 or I-55 and they go up 65. so a
on not passing 50 is hardly a IB4TL offense nice try though that extra 15MPH adds lots of wind noise, besides the flap on the wiper is there to send cold air into the cowl for the intake
Hey isn't I-88 @ 65 as well?
And on a recent trip out east I did 70 in a 70 in the rain/snow mix, and in FL I did 70 in the rain on an almost daily basis in the fall.

Back to the point though.....
I see no reason why a $9 wiper can't perform as well as the more expensive models floating about. If these fail miserably I will of course post my results.

Have you ever used the Silicone ones? I'd be interested to hear how they compare, I'm approaching due for blades I think after some road salt comes out the days on mine will be numbered.

No, I haven't. Today's test was sorta impromptu, as I hit my wipers and they basically decomposed into three pieces each. I knew they were hurtin', but not that bad.... I pulled right into autozone and slapped the rain-x guys on there and voila, I could see again. What brand are the silicone ones? Today I saw Bosch, Rain-X, and a brand that started with two A's ...aamca? Something like that. But we'll see how these go.

I think I've used the Rain-X brand before as replacements @ 7k, I kept them on til 10k the dealer swapped to new OEMs for me so I probably still have the Rain-Xs in the garage somewhere.
I have the new Michelin ones that have Teflon impregnated into the rubber
