Updated Interior

I finally got all the pieces painted that I want painted. I sent off the steering wheel pieces to Lambspeed in New Jersey, and they came back looking fantastic. I finally took some pictures too!

The turn signal and wiper stalk painted with a little S from the COOPER S

One of my later "mods" - a hardwired Valentine V1

Steering wheel:

One last shot:

Let me know what you guys think!

Next up for the interior:

-Recaro Seats
-Paint the center console
-Suede headliner
-Leather dash
-suede doorpanels
-manual transmission (I wish )

Looks great to me. Lots of detail. Not too much red- good accents.
Black dash and door parts compliment red nicely.

Next up-:

-Recaro Seats- in RED and black
-Paint the center console- what color?
-Suede headliner- What color?
-Leather dash- Red and black panels? Black with red double stitching?
-suede doorpanels - to match the dash pattern
-manual transmission- I saw you don't have a clutch pedal then I checked for paddle shifters. Your shift **** looks like it could be a manual. Paddle shifters and good- as close to being a manual as possible.

Thanks .

For the seats - definitely red and black leather, with black stitching on the red, and red stiching on the black.

For the center console - planning on sanding it down until it is smooth, and then spraying it jet black.

suede headliner - black

leather dash - probably black leather with red stitching. I don't know yet though .

As for the shift ****, I had to color scheme it too...and since they don't really make aftermarket shift ***** for automatics, I just bought one for a manual transmission ...oh well, people can call me a "poser" if they want, I don't care .

As for the paddles, yea...tons of fun, but I still wish I had the stick shift, oh well .

Im having them painted British Racing Green to match the exterior with some chrome bits mixed in to give it a nice look.

Another thing I am waiting on are the darn tachometer/speedometer colored faces...no one seems to want to make them! I even tried to make them myself, but failed miserably... .

Speedo I don't have a printer for but I've done my tach have you seen my posts? Check out the youification thread It took several tries but I'm quite pleased with my current tach, now I just need to figure out how to do the speedo.

Duhh I just scrolled up and took a second look, should actually be able to apply the same method for the tach as the speedo on yours

I tried the same thing you did. I wanted mine to be black with red outlines, and it just was too dark to read during the day. I ran with it for a few weeks and it just was becoming too dangerous as I was having to stare at the speedometer to find out how fast I was going (MINIs with NAV loose the digital speed readout). I finally just gave up on the project and figured I would wait until someone came out with a kit.

Ahhhhhhhh I live of the digital redout ( I can't imagine having to guess the way you NAV people do), the only thing I use the center for is to see if the ASC is on or off I did a thing where I put a clear outline around the "ticks" it worked but it looked a little too tacky for me, and well ROMs I can easily ball park.
