Interior/Exterior Removing e-brake boot
on the factor ****, you need to pull the silver/gray tip off. then the
sleeve part with faux leather is retained by a plastic clip on the top.
you need to pull it up.
then the boot is held onto the floor panel on a plastic ring. you just
take a flat panel remover (or you can actually just use your fingers) and
pry it apart and pull up.

Thanks guys. I've been outside working on it and figured out how to remove it. Installing the new boot is a bit of a pain in the ****. I think I'll need to cut it a bit.
Just received my new shift and e-brake boots from Redline (great looking boots, pics forthcoming). Just having some minor problems with the install and have a couple of quick questions for anyone who's done this mod.
1. Having a hard time getting the chrome ring around the shift boot to go back on correctly. It was verrrrrrrrry tight when I removed it but now it's not seating properly. Any idea why ? The tabs seem to be in good shape.
2. The E-brake boot tricky... having to cut the leather to slide onto the tabs and seems to be some excess leather on the back end. I think I could get it to fit better if I had some glue to hold it in place as I work my way around the frame (as their website suggests). Anyone know what kind of glue will hold the leather onto the plastic frame ? I tried "Instant Krazy Glue" last night but no-go.
Thanks !

Appreciate it !
I couldn't find that Arrow Fetching Glue locally so I went with Automotive Goop on the recommendation from Maciek at Redline. Worked great... got the e-brake boot installed last night. Looks grrrrrrrrrrrrreat, too !!
Pics to be posted tomorrow (OCD kicking in and can't take pics until I vacuum the floor mats.

Yes, the leather is soft, the colors are great, the quality is top-notch. I've done quite a few little mods in the past three months and this one is my favorite, so far.
I agree with all above about the quality of the Redline products. See my gallery for some pics from an install I did a few months ago. I also agree that this is probably my favorite interior mod (it made my fake-looking OEM boots match my seats...)
That's a nice looking pair of boots ya got there, 200 !
Love the red stitching on black leather. That's part of my scheme, too. I'll post pics this weekend so I don't want to give away too much info just yet. But if you come back and check out my pics, I'm betting you'll like what I did.

Personally, I'm waiting for Redline to come out with custom downtube sleeves also. Now that would be cool!
Matching downtubes, boots, and seats...
Okay, as promised, here's my pics. But first, I want to thank Redline goods and Maciek for the outstanding service I received. t
I contacted Maciek about my custom order and he advised me they didn't yet make shift boots for the MINI with CVT. But...he told me if I removed my OEM boot and sent to them in Poland, they could use it as a template and use that to make my new boot. So... off it went to Poland. Amazingly, Redline was able to make my new boot and ship my new one so quickly, the time lapsed from removing my old boot and installing my new one was just over two weeks !! Wow.
Now... all you other CVT owners can order your boots now that Redline has a template.
As you can see, the result ROCKS !! I went with red and black to match the color scheme of my MC. I alternated the colors in each boot... red on the left in the shift boot, on the right on the e-brake boot. I also alternated the thread color, red on the black side and black thread on the red side.
I love the result. Thanks Redline Goods !!!

Thanks !
That's Griot's vinyl dressing. Just put it on so it's a little glossy but it'll die down soon enough (I would bet you've used it).
Just bought some Wizards from DP but I want to use my Griot's before I start using the new stuff.
