Can extra plush floor mats actually insulate against road noise? I have the OEM rubber mats and am perfectly happy with them, but was considering a change to these extra thick carpeted mats. Could these also change the way the stereo sounds or would it be imperceptible? Does anyone have either of these "lifetime" mats? The yarn weight is two to three times that of most OEM carpet. They have a multilayer backing with a thick urethane core.

you will probably want to dynamat the floor board, doors, trunk floor,
trunk lid for best results if you are trying to reduce noise. also, try some
ST115 tires from Falken.
