Can you add aftermarket heated seats?

I love my Mini and I have almost all the options. The only thing I would love to have is Heated Seats. I didn't even know it was an option. I have become used to turning the seats on every morning for the past 4 years. I was just wondering if there is a way to add it or do I have to find some used seats for sale?

Heated to racing seats possible?

I was getting ready to start a new thread, but my question is along these same general lines. Currently, our Cooper has heated Panther Black leather seats. What I would like to do is install a set of Momo racing seats and have the heater elements retrofitted into the Momo seats. Does anyone know if this is possible?
This is what we're thinking of getting as replacement seats (in silver/black combination):http://www.momousa.com/products.php?...roup=57&id=105

Since the wiring harness which plugs into the seats also includes a sensor for the in-seat air bags, is there a way to trick the sensor to old relay the heat function? If any of 'yall can help me out, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!
Also, does anyone know where to find the Top Spin carbon fiber seatbelt guides which can be used on the stock Cooper seats for racing harnesses? I'm attaching a picture of Randy T's super-sweet ride, you can see the guides in this picture.

Guys,

I've been in the car business for the last 9 yrs and the aftermarket business for 8 yrs before that. We add leather interior and heated seats to our cars all the time. Check around for local interior/upholstery shops. Most of them can order heated seat kits that can be installed on any seat. They usually run about $150 per seat.

Do you happen to know if you can take the heater elements out of the stock heated seats, put them in the new racing seats and still keep the wiring harness the same? There would also need to be some kind of work-around for the seat air bags. I want to make sure I can still use the heater buttons in the center console. Thanks!

You can definitely use the factory switches. You may have to take them out and wire the new seat heaters into them, but they will work. The only thing a switch does is complete a circuit. Any switch can control any function (pending the switch is the necessary type for the item it is powering: contact switch, momentary switch, etc.) as long as it is capable of conducting enough voltage to power the desired item.
