Rear Mud Guards

I have a question that I hope someone can answer. I recently purchased rear mud guards (flaps) from my local dealership for my 2005 MC (non S). After getting home and going to put them on I found out that they do not fit. I returned them and after some investigation was told that they were only made for the pre 2005 MINI's. There are no official parts now made or currently in the process of being made for the 2005 / 2006 run. So my question is, does anyone know of any quality aftermarket rear mud guards that I can get for my Cooper?

there was a thread here a while ago where some one added mudflaps to his cooper. u should be able to find it in the search function. If i remember correctly he had to do a bit of modding to them.

I have front flaps on my 2006 Cooper convertible and was considering rear flaps. Someone posted here that they had a hard time getting them to fit, and he basically gave up. There is someone in the UK with pictures of them on his convertible (therefore it must be a 05/06 model). Look in this gallery for the BRG Cooper convertible. He uses the Euro version with no corner lights. However he also said they didn't help to keep the rear cleaner. Apparently it is mostly the aerodynamics, not the rear wheels that make the rear dirty.

I have the rear mud flaps on my '03 Cooper, and they don't really help much. I still get lots of dirt all over the boot. I'd recommend skipping them.
