Peeling Plastic on Door Sills

Anybody have a tip for getting the plastic laminate off of a peeling door sill? Thanks in advance!

Goo-goo gone? Any Adhesive remover from a hardware store?

Buy a new door sill and replace the peeling one. The new ones are pretty cheap. Of course it's only a matter of time before the new ones start peeling too.

Was the plastic supposed to be removed or is it there to protect the aluminum permanently?

Are you talking about the protective film from the factory? I've seen several people not know to pull that stuff off. If it's that just pull it off. If not, this is a perfect time for aftermarket ones!!!

That is exactly it. Unfortunately, the dealer did not remove and I didn't realize it was a plastic film until it started to peel on the passenger side. I tried peeling it off today and even used a plastic scraper that came with a Goo Off package and it just will not come up very well at all. Looking to buy some SS sills that are shown on eBay. They are $40 for a pair shipped free. Sure hope they look and fit well.
