Interior/Exterior Show us your Aero Kit!!!
Hey FD,
What is the body shop charging you to paint that bumper and are you doing the arches on the aero bumper in black to match?

No, i will not be painting the arches. I REALLY like that look, but just don't want to spend the money to have it done. Perhaps if my car was another car.
Thanks for the heads up with a quote, def. not looking to spend too much more than that for the front bumper.
I'm thinking about getting the aero kit. Currently, I have a normal bumper but it has the JCW logo on the lower grill. If I get the aerokit, is there an option to have it with the JCW emblem on it? Or do I have to order it separately and have it put on?
Got the aero kit painted, but don't have any pics of it installed yet. I need another one of those self-tapping screws (i guess that's what you call them), cause i accidentally pushed it in.
It's one that holds in the very lower bottom piece that attaches to the bumper itself. Any idea where i could find another one? (besides the dealer)

Here's an update pic of my 2005 JB/JB MCS. I've got Aero kit Skirts and Grills on a stock front and rear bumper. The front bumper is enhanced with the Strassentech FRP lip.

$570.03 w/ shipping to Northern Virginia from OutMotoring.
(Does anybody know about that screw i was talking about in post 208?)
OK, Fine...
I'll be a pic *****: Factory black style Aero Kit with black inserts, color coded aero grille, and changed rear bumper inserts (didn't want silver) The car above makes me want coilover$!

Are there any more front aero kit only people out there? I'm in need of a new bumper, and want to go aero kit, but the financial dept. won't let me spring for sideskirts...just the front...
Joey Mod is coming....
I'll have pics tomorrow for everybody. Just have the front installed on mine.
Always wanted one but never puttled the trigger. Even have the Yamaguchi book here on the shelf.
No pics here (yet), but I purchased a prepainted IB Aero Kit from Classic when they were having the closeout sale on those.
I'm facing a dilemma - my car has the rear PDC. The kit's rear bumper does not have the holes for it. Originally, I didn't want the rear bumper (the stickers seem really cheesy) - but couldn't pass up the deal when the entire kit went on sale.
Now that I have a rear aero bumper, I think I may just end up using it...but should I drill holes for the PDC (and possibly screwing up in the process), or install w/o PDC? Another option is to trade someone with a PDC IB Aero Bumper, but shipping to/from my location in Alaska kind of stinks...
What would you guys do?

You could take it to a body shop and have them install the PDC for you. That way if they mess up it is on them and they can repair it right there. I would run it since you have it.
I forgot to mention - we only have one body shop on this little island. A few years back they really screwed up a simple job on my Jeep Cherokee and despite sending it back 4x, it's still not right.
I'm a bit reluctant to take anything to them if I can help it.
You're right though, it would be a waste not to use the bumper since I have it. In some way, I think the PDC ruins the look of the bumper. In another way, I really don't like removing an option my car came with. So this is something I've been fighting myself over.
Does anyone have pics of an aero rear bumper with PDC? The ones in this thread all seem to be without PDC.
Thanks for your input!

Pics as promised. Since this is really just supposed to be a thread about showing off your Aero Kit, i'm going to make another thread about the difficulties in doing this yourself. And yes, a proper photo shoot will be coming shortly (depending on weather).

Looks great FD3S! I'm envious. I just spoke with SterlingMini/Royal and found out the entire material and labor cost for the full aerokit....$2,500! Get this...if I want to get a new JCW emblem to go on the front bumper like I have now, it will cost me $100!
