Interior/Exterior Question for R53W11: Missing Inertia switch

While going over the instructions for installation of the driving lights on page 7 of the updated installation instructions step #7 states that " slightly loosen (do not remove) the screws (1) that secure the inertia switch (2) in place".
Well on my 2003 MCS ther is no such switch in the location described, I have looked at your pictures and there is the switch in the correct location according to the instructions, but on my car ther is no switch in that location. Could MINI have made a change to the location my car was built on December 20th ?.

I vaguely remember reading somewhere that the inertia switch was moved somewhere under the carpet in the interior -- maybe near the mirror control.

Thanks for the link Jstines, I think the decision to put the switch where it's so hard to get to reset is a very poor one. it would seem that if the darn thing is ever tripped you will have to take the car to the dealer to get it reset, not a good thing.

the reason why I was looking for the switch is that I was about to install the driving lights and the instruction for mounting the fuse box refered to the switch as the place to mount it, so I mounted it by using the grounding bolt as its mounting point.
