Interior/Exterior Exterior Customizing
I posted this elsewhere, but I think this may be more appropriate. After visiting several MINI meets and seeing some cool graphics I decided it's time to do something different. I borrowed an idea from a 73 Porsche Carrera involving a "negative" side stripe. It can be seen on page 154 of the owners MINIs under Mike Brinson's Cooper S. I'd love some feedback, good or bad. Cheers, MB
Neat idea! I think you've done a great job with the typography and positioning of the "Cooper" and "S" elements within the stripe.
A couple of suggestions:
1. Lose the black rule (outline) around the white areas. I think this will give you a more contemporary look, better matching the Cooper's design. I would probably keep the black rule around the "S", since it is part of the logo design and helps to seperate it from the stripe area.
2. If you're going to position the stripe parallel to the rocker panel, then I would probably drop down further on the door. The other option would be to position the stripe at an angle, parallel to the bottom edge of the greenhouse (windows). If you go this route, I would position the stripe higher on the door.
Congrats on doing something different with your MINI. I'd love to see some more original ideas around here.

Thanks for the feedback Soopa Coopa. I addressed both of those issues with the artist,"Pro Image" of Longwood, Fl. The black rule ties in with the black rule of the bonnet stripes, and after some trial and error the top line of the stripe seemed to go best with the front and rear bumper line. I appreciate everyones opinions. It's hard to come up with something different without going overboard. Thanks to all, Motor On, MB
