2003 rear fog retrofit, waterfall lighting???

Ok so here is the deal, I really miss having the rear foglight, my old A6 has one and its great for getting tail gators to back off. So I have been reading up on the rear fog retrofits, and have two questions.

1: Does anyone know if I get the 2005 switch set, will the two LED lights that are part of the water fall lighting work? Related if I get the 2005 Switch kit will the switches work even if the lights don’t. I am really don’t want to have to buy the parts twice.

2: My car does not have DSC or ASC, it’s a 2003 cooper not an S. Is there any issue with getting a set with the ASC switch. I have the MTH Tuner file and have a post asking if that activates the ASC system on my car? More then getting that toggle functional I just think the car would look better with a full set of switches.

Really just want to make sure I go down and get the right parts and if I could add some of the waterfall lighting and get a full set of toggles it would be ideal.

1. I've got an '04 (Oct '03 build) and the waterfall lights on the new toggle rack work fine.
2. There shouldn't be an issue with an 'extra' toggle - there just won't be anything for the BCM to turn on or off.

Some confusion?

There were *always* "waterfall" lights in the bottom of the toggle switch panel - two small & dim ones. The PCB can take three, and I modd'ed my toggle switch panel to boost their brightness.

The '05 MINIs replaced the clock in the headliner with lights, and that included some "real" waterfall lighting - shining right down from headliner to the cup holder / gear shift area.
Of course you don't get these lights if you change the toggle switch panel!

I've got the aux. gauges, so I've never really noticed the lighting from the rack - it's overwhelmed by the light from the gauges. I know my original rack had the LEDs, but I thought maybe the earlier one's didn't... I cede all knowledge to Ian, the Rackmaster (tm)

I must say I yield to the unending wisdom of the MINI forums.

I put my hand up under there last night and sure enough there are lights in my 2003. They don't seem to put out much light, but they are there.
