All Anthracite Interior?

So, I've been toying with the idea of taking all of the "silver" plastic pieces in the interior -- you know, the ones around the gauges, shifter, hand brake, etc. -- and making them anthracite to complete an all anthracite interior. May look like *****, I'm not sure, but I've been thinking about it none the less.

I know that there are chrome accent piece retrofits you can buy at places like OutMotoring, but is there anywhere you can buy anthracite retrofit stuff? And if I can't buy it already made, does anyone know how I could go about getting the pieces made?

well unless you want to change your steering wheel and stalks or paint it your stuck with silver...only silver I have is tach and speedo rings, wiper stalks, and the steering wheel...

Oh yea if you ditch the silver rings you need a new color for center speedo or chronopak... to do a total intergration...

I like the contrast in my mini but would love to buy a kit that makes ALL parts anthracite... and all I mean EVERYTHING!

You should contact Classic MINI for parts. Each piece that comes with an anthracite spec'd car (trim rings, console columns, etc) can be purchased separately from MINI at a reasonable price. See this thread: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=37328. An anthracite dash from MINI runs around $200. The problem to do a complete changeover would be anthracite door rings and Y handles. They come only with an entire door panel and would be expensive to change.

Thanks, but this doesn't really solve the problem that Stricks (and some of the rest of us) have set out to solve. This only deals with the pieces that we already have in anthracite, whereas now we are trying to figure out how to turn the few remaining silver pieces anthracite as well...

In addition to the Tach (and Speedo if you have a Chrono pack), Light and wiper stalks, steering wheel accents, there are also the mirror adjustment switches and e-brake handle. Are we missing anything?

Frankly, I can't figue out any simple way to accomplish this aside from painting them all. I don't think paint will be very durable on many of these pieces. Not only that, but it doesn't seem particularly easy to match.

I'm not willing to risk making it look worse just to try to get all anthracite. So, I'll probably leave it as is until I figure out something else.

After some thought, I've pretty much resigned myself to the same thought. I might still paint the tach and speedo rings on my chrono pack, but that's probably about it.
