Interior/Exterior Nice little interior "mod"
Nice little interior "mod"
Just received and installed spiffy caps, this guy is a good eBay seller and an excited MINI owner. They are cheap and finish off a quirky part of the interior very well.

at me hardware store, they have these that are chrome and engraved with either a skull, flames or maltese cross!!!

Some new guy just registered under 'flyboyua' and private messaged me and others: Hello....I am the seller of the SPIFFY CAPS on Ebay.....I CERTAINELY hope your aren't calling me a moron on this website. It looks much worse on you than me
And to answer - you're darn right I am, and I'll call anyone ELSE a moron that tries to mark a product up 2500% and pass it off as a 'mod' for a mini, to everyone here - then gets busted! Oh, I'm sorry, were you exposed trying to rip people off? Too bad, go cry a river to someone else.

It's kinda funny, "Spiffy Caps". I wouldn't spend 10.00 on little caps like that, but I always did wonder why there weren't caps on my MINIs doors (thought mine was missing the inside caps!).
The eBay ad is a bit misleading ("They are anthracite in color") as I'm sure they don't match the MINIs anthracite. If this person went to the trouble to prep the caps:
sand/prep
chisel out a slot for a screwdriver
paint to match silver or anthracite
I would be willing to fork over 10.00 for em.

If the buyer feels it was worth it, i think more power to him.

I have a Focus, and for a while a bunch of people liked to do this one mod where you can enable your foglights to turn on with just your parking lights. Whatever, I was never into it, but anyways, all you needed to do was pull a relay out, cut a 2 inch length of wire, crimp a spade lug to each end, and push the lugs into two parallel sockets.
It cost, like, $0.75 or something. But one day someone started selling the wire, pre-packaged, on eBay, for like $15, and people were constantly buying it. Go figure.
So yeah, if there's an interest in something, there will always be someone to capitalize on it.
It's a neat simple cheap mod at .40 . At least someone posted before others get "scammed" Nothing better than the community here at NAM thanks I am going to try to find the plugs at Home Depot
Who sells ones that best match the silver interior?
I'm gonna look for them online but if someone has some that match really well, I'd appreciate the tip
Also... what aisle are they usually on in stores?

would they be in the aisle where they sell cabinets and drawers?

that thing off when you need to remove your door panel? Just pry it

I believe the points in question on the door trim actually have nothing to do w/ removing a panel.....they are just cosmetic features.
I've seen lots of little mods like this that are supposed to "dress up" the interior but....does it really need dressing up?? Fine if you want to, but I think it's just a sales line. I like the OEM look and I think real hard about introducing random bling that could actually cheapen the look of the interior (or exterior for that matter).

You never do stereo work or fix rattles in your doors? You plugup that hole, you need to be able to remove it to access the torex
screws..... :impatient :impatient :impatient <= love this face!
Motorignfile.com actually did a review of these

Personaly I think they looks stupid and cheapen the look of the interior ... why do we need to plug every hole we see?
