i think the reason why the skull is pushed so much forward on the first pic is due to the doors. if you really think about it, as you get into the car, you will always see the skull from that orientation. if it's moved farther back, it might look a little misplaced.

if you happened to see it from a helicopter, then you'd probably be wondering why it is so far forward...but from the ground i think it looks great as is.

(oh, and i would lose the eyelashes. all the lines are nice and thick, with one weight. the lashes look like an afterthought and a bit TOO cute. i think it's looks cool to have a "normal" skull with a bow on it's head. )

I'm pretty sure that at least Ed from CooperFlags has a template for the rear window, maybe even the two side panels. The graphic is kind of like what you see on pick up truck's rear windows.

I like the forward orientation one better as well.
I kind of made an unscientific study about it because I want to put my company logo on the roof and any SUV and Minivan will have a good view of the graphic.
Poor guys, when they take a look at that skull they are going to have another reason (besides gas and boring) to get a MINI

Although the point I made might be valid from a purely critical perspective, I think you should definitely put the graphic on your roof. The point about SUVs seeing it is a good one...it's there and it's cool and it's stealthy. But most of all you would see it and know it was there and have a blast with it. Frankly, it is just too perfect to pass up...and the roof is the best place to do it!! This graphic is just made for your MINI (literally or figuratively)...so go for it!!

I'm going to get it, but it will probably be another month. Hubby asked me to wait a few weeks as I have been spending too much money recently plus I'm supposed to go to Germany in a couple of weeks for work and even though work is paying for it, I'm sure I'll spend some of my own too. But if we are able to make it to the Fall of the Dragon (I hope so, but not sure as hubby is currently working 15 hour days since his company is moving, hopefully they'll be done by then) it will hopefully be on there to show off

Well, life has gotten a bit in the way of getting my graphics done, but I as soon as Mike from Aesthetic Creation gets back from AMVIV I'm asking him to get them made up for me before the Dragon. Now I have one last decision to make. Which stripe to get? A wide stripe or a Checkmate style stripe? If I get the wide stripe, I'll get it on both the bonnet and boot whereas the Checkmate stripe would obviously only be on the boonet. Opinions?

my vote is for a wide stripe... it completes the look... where as the checkmate stripe looks like an afterthought...

The wide viper stripe is harder to install though because of the hood bulge (which the checkmate stripe conveniently goes around. ).

That's kinda what I thought, but if I can get in Mike's schedule at the Dragon, I would probably get him to install the stripe if I got the wide one. If I get the wide stripe though, I'm unsure if I should get it just on the boot, or if I should get it to carry all the way down to the bottom of the Aero rear bumper. That seems like it would be kinda hard with the insets in that bumper??

Another question. My MINI is in real need of a good detailing. If I were to Zaino my car, would I have to remove it before the graphics are installed?

The wide stripe tooks "tougher" which I think goes with the skull better.

That is a cool graphic. I went with the more traditional Jolly Roger

I think I'm gonna go with the wide stripe. Now I'm trying to decide if I want the stripe in the back to be just on the boot or if I should have it carried all the way to the bottom of the Aero bumper...just concerned about the insets in that bumper

Do the boot - It will look great. I have a boot stripe and am very happy with it. I think it will complete the look!

Oh, I'm doing the boot, I'm just trying to decide if I only want it on the door or if I want it to go all the way down the bumper. I have an Aero kit and I didn't put in those grill stickers, so I'm trying to figure out how the stripe would look wrapped into those spaces where the grill stickers go

Roof Graphic

I just had my sunroof graphic installed which I also had Mike at Aesthetic Creations make for me. Notice the picture, of the wall, inside the POW/MIA picture!

It' a little weird no longer being able to look out the sunroof but can always open it if I want to gaze at the sky.

Mike did a great job!

I love it - go for it!

PS- Where did you get your license plate frames? Does someone down at the Minis on the Dragon event sell them? We're going down there next May...

Oh, and I vote centered...

Since this is an old thread I thought I would post the fished results of the "Skull Grrrl" done at MOTD.
