Scroth owners

I picked up my friend's scroth today, but when i saw the scroth install instruction from their website, i got a few questions

a) can i use stock rear seatbelt bolts? otherwise, would this be the right bolt kit for the scroth?

http://www.schrothracing.com/product...ries-comp/1584
b) what size torx do i need to remove the two seat belt anchors?

thanks

kyriian,

Mine is similiar to part #s 01324. I'm not sure if you can use the standard bolt, as I'm unsure if it's long enough. Hopefully someone else can chime in.

I believe the torx bit size for the anchor bolts are t30's.

You need the bolt that came with the kit. They are a little longer than the stock ones.

What you can probably do is switch your stock bolts with the correct ones that are most likely still on your friend's MINI.

Or make sure to get the correct bolts from Schroth to make sure that your harness is as safe as it is good looking.

Installation Guide

Forgot to mention...

You can get the installation manual (with pretty pictures), from soloracer.com

I bought a set of Schroth Harnesses from a NAM member and they didn't come with the bolt/washer/spacer thing. I ordered them from the USA Schroth distributor--found in the PDF Instruction manual. I needed 2 sets (driver/passenger) and I think it was like $4 + $10 in shipping!!! In any case, I have a complete kit now.

I love driving with them, but I think I will be getting the harness pads--these cut into my shoulders/neck a bit. But what a difference they make!
