Thanks for the kudo's! We did take our time, as finding the right wheels was time consuming due to supply issues and me being extremely picky. Ditto for the other parts.

It's been fun though...

Well I was looking waaaaayyyyyy back on through the threads and I ran across this one. I figured it was fitting since I was planning on continuing my "De-Cuting" of my DS 2003 MINI MCS. The image below is the Photoshop version of what I am proposing. I have the lamps in place already..Actually they have been on the car since spring of 2004 (removed for winter) , I already have the CF front scoop and tow hook. What I am adding is a Racing Dynamics front spitter of which I will paint DS in with a graphic breakup I have not decided on yet. tinted headlamps and driving lights and "extending" the lower opening with a dark graphic to "widen" the car graphically without buying a new fascia. I'm going for the "halo" turn indicators. I had thought about graphics on the bonnet but after I PS it I decided not to. But I do have in mind some graphics for the exterior in a few spots. Actually they are already designed...Just have to send to the shop to be cut from my file.

I already have the car lowered with PIAA wheels, have white tail lamps, singele center exhaust and am adding a Uber wing.

Interior wise I have finally added some gauges. A SW boost gauge to the right of the tach and a SPA duel OT and OP in the right vent. Decided to cover the down tubes in Alacantra graphite and the door pulls will be added as soon as I have time. I added a Craven SSK along with the Silver plate to match the HK door trim. A new **** is on othe way from Bavarian Autosport. As we speak I'm adding low level blue ambient lighting. and I'm replacing all the yellowish interior lights with Xenon (more white) bulbs. Yes I know useless without pics. I'll take some when I'm closer to completion.

The quandry is I wish to add new seats....I've decided on Recaro Sportsters but jeez the cost! However this completed along with a fire extinguisher I'll be all set in the interior.....Yeah right!

Mechanically this year (and under bonnet)...A Wilwood BBK, A new belt, the Alta front rear control arm bushings, an Alta divertor (2.0???) I decided against a new IC...I am sort of on a budget! M7 Divertor, M7 Underbrace (hopefully), A engine dampener and other bits I probabaly forgot to mention.

Anyway...don't get on the forum much but I decided to share today....Maybe it's the weather. Great threads by the way!!! A wealth of information!

Both lower images about two years old...A few things have changed. About time to update me thinks....

I'm a genuine chrome hater, but that is downright sexy.

Yeah, actually I'm not a chrome fan either but it seems to work on this particular car with DS. I had a "vision" when I ordered it which included DS roof.

Bonnet (and boot) stripes help a ton too. Now I think MINIs usually look nekkid without them.

Do you have the standard lights or the xenon? I just can't bring myself to put a $1,500 headlight in the oven. I just can't.

I was wondering how the black grilles would look on BRG. I was thinking not enough contrast, but yours looks great!

It looks even better when you paint under the mid grill to give a total black-out for the grill.

The M7 splitter no doubt adds the most aggressiveness to the front end. I would love one to balance my m7 wing but alas it would not last a week with the whole family driving the car, if you vcold only see the condition of the lower front. This is also why I did not lower the car.

Option 1: Change out my 04 chrome surround for the cleaner, simpler 05 chrome.

Option 2: Add the aero kit grilles (with painted surrounds).

Option 3: Add M7 Ultimate grilles.

Option 4: Add the whole aero kit front end.
Of your four options, you can't go wrong with the second, especially with your color combination. That said, the checkerboard O.T.T. could be precipitating much of the "cute" sentiment. Regardless of what you do with the grille, I'd think strongly about ditching the checkers.

Another option would be to paint your grille bars gloss black (to match the roof) and swap out your grille/upper bumper moldings for an 2005~2006 set.

Best of luck to you!

You just need to see (at the Dragon) the front bottom of the car to understand. Lowering is not an option in my family . I would love to put on a splitter on the car but it would not last a week.

The first thing I'm doing at the Dragon is rubbing vasoline on my hands and leaning on your car - no car should look so good.

I have to be content for the ralliesk look.

I hope they have a ding and scratch contest - I would be a contender.
