As promised they installed the light and switch pack for free but were suprised to find that that the car was missing the wiring harness. I was told that the harness installation charge was $450.00!!! I refused to pay anything. After several months of unreturned phone calls to the dealer I thought we reached a fair but unusual compromise - they would install the wiring harness free of charge and I woulld make a $500.00 contribution to a charity. I gave them a choice of five different charities. I am still waiting for their return call.

Reviving this thread, as I hoped that by now someone would have been able to get this done. I have an 8/04 build 05 Cooper S and would like to have the rear fog installed and finally finish off my toggle bank. Has anyone been able to do this successfully?
mini-rolls, do you still offer your mod, and if so, how much is it for a backup light kit?

I'm watching this tread too. I'm having too much trouble stomaching 2 hours labor to install the wiring. My MA says I would be the first to have it done also.
Have to achieve WAF (wife acceptance factor) before I can budget for it.
This is for a car that came with the toggle already but no foglight or wiring.
Even the toggle is wired up properly as the orange light on the toggle itself comes on when it's supposed to.

FYI if I can find the link I'll post the wiring instructions for F/R fogs...It's 5.0 hours to retro front and rear fogs for vehicles built between 7/2004 and 11/2004. 2.0 hours for cars prior to 7/04 and 2.5 for cars after 11/04 on.
Parts and Labor= $$$$ for the 7/11 2004 folks.
