HELP! Tint Wont Stick!!!!

Hey guys,
i just started applying tinto to my rear window on my Cooper. i tired a full sheet, but it would get thos "fingers" that wont stick.... i cnat get it to work.

then i tried the 6 inch strips of tint. not only does it not stick still, it looks funny with an overlap. what am i doing wrong? id like to use a whole single sheet to get rid of the lines, but does anyone have any tips to get it to stick better?????

mix some alcohol to let it dry faster. maybe you have too much detergent(or shampoo or whatever that is mixed)

My tip would be to find a good, reasonably priced pro to tint it for you, it will cost you less in the long run, and look much better!

Cost me $95 to get Madigo Onyx tint all the way around. Lifetime warranty against bubbles, fading, or peeling. Dealer wanted $800 for similar tint!

ok ma man this is the trick to getting your tint to stick,
i whent to a class !! so i know a thing or two what you want is a nice heat gun !! and a teflon card, or mechanics gloves !

first step ! is if you want it to go on in once sheet you need to heat shrink it !!!

the minis rear window has curves that prevent the film from conforming so you will need to heat shrink it

to do so
you need to clean the rear window then apply a little water to a dryer sheet and wipe it on the rear window to get the chemical on the window this wil caus the film to "float" then use the heat gun to dry the chemical on the window, do this till completley dry but use caution not to melt any plastic parts,

once dry take a paper towel and wet each ends of the glass and thru the middle making an "H" pattern then apply the tint to the outside of the glass sticking it to the water and pulling the exess out till its taught, run your hand down the centre and the ends making shure all the fingers are travling up and down, tint will not heat shrink sidways, it will onley shrink whare it was machine cut on the outer edge, once this is done take your heat gun and your gloves and beging one one end at the top and work your way across the window pulling down on the tint to make it stick and conform to the window make shure you have trimed the tint leaving a quater inch around the windows black border, keep waving the heat gun and let the film shrink itself and press it firmly down with your glove, once you have heat shrunk the entire window trim and remove the pertective coating take off and swap into the inside part of the window, ...... i know that was hard to follow but i hope it give you a general idea, but yes it does need to be heat shrunk!!!!
