Removing mirror Pod in console??

OK- I am trying to install my new bluetooth kit and am locating the control next to the hand brake but need to remove the hand brake console and need to get the mirror/heated seat pod out to be able to remove the center console.

The pics I have seen on doing this don't elaborate other than: "be careful and remove the controls" well duh... of course be careful. But after 20 minutes of cursing I am ready to be impaitient with a crow bar!

any help would be greatly appreciated!

Chris

removing pieces

To more easily remove the heated seat switches, I pushed the tiny metal tabs just visible on the front of that assembly down and out. don't lose them... You can reinsert them once the switch housing is out.

Then I used a right angle screw driver as a hook to apply upward pressure
on the bottom of the switch assembly.

Before I discovered this method I too was ready for a crowbar!

You must remove the E-brake boot to remove the screws holding the E-brake housing. Insert a butter knife mid way along the side to pry the clips at the edge of the boot toward the center of the car. There are several on either side.

Hope this helps.
