Auxillary guages no more?

Just looking at MINIUSA, and I don't see the auxillary guages anymore - are they extinct now that the Chrono pack is available, or did I miss them? I swear they were under 'Outfit Cockpit - Instruments'.

I don't think these can be fitted in 2005 models because of the Utility Box in the center cubby:

I just picked up the 2005 motoring accessories guide. It lists the auxilliary gauges (battery voltage and oil temp readings). The gauges have the chrome rings to match the dash vents. The price is $250.00 plus installation.

The part # is 82 94 0 303 934

I stand corrected guess the Utility Box must be removed to install the gauges

I have a Sept. 05 build MCS with the gauge package. My dealer, Crown of Richmond, wanted $450 for the package, which is totally insane IMHO! I also ordered the driving lamps. So, I complained about the cost and they "threw in" the gauge package "free", after charging me something like $600 for the driving lamps.

One drawback with the '05 aux. gauges is the bad location. Down there under the switch panel, the gauges are very hard to see while driving. They're recessed back into the console, and positioned very low and well out of my driving line of sight. I have to take my eyes far off the road to see them.

Having said all those negatives, I like the extra gauges. But if you intend to have the dealer install them, definitely try to negotiate a lower price. Obviously, there's a lot of excess profiteering by dealers on this item.

Good luck!
