As i needed a sample for my own idea of a hood, i ordered via Alibaba a hood from China. it took 50 days fr. payment to delivery house door Germany.

I choose a all in Service from TNT.

- fitment: it uses the original fitment brackets and hinges, my final version will uses aero hatches, dont want to see that fly. The overall fitment is ok, it has a open scoop, which however is unsquare, if they have copied blind a Duell airbox position, i dont know, the gelcoat has a very bad spot right under the emblem, however i told them that the hood gets painted, the lamprings dont clip in proper, and should be glued in.

You could vinyl wrap it and save some money.

 

Vinyl warp is difficult to use on that, i will try a new hyper gloss liquid rubber to to spray on (HALO EFX), it might be a good way to cover some parts in "Piano Black"

The hood itselve is used for a new mould, Iam scoop allergic .
