Interior/Exterior Alta Short Shifter
(goting OT) What is happening is the door panel is smacking against the metal door with the vibration because it's not held tight enough. With felt there, it is smacking against the soft felt so there is no sound. Dynamat isn't much softer than the door so it won't help much.
But if you put some dynamat on the door and panel it may bring down some of the vibration. But not stop the rattling. Two different things going on. (It might also be thick enough to push more on the door panel and stop the rattling that way tho)

You can special order one to fit the Alta short shifter. That's what I did and then sold my original Whalen to one of the members here on NAM.

I made sure Mr. Whalen could make me one before I ordered the alta. He said he has made several and it is easier to make the threaded **** than the stock one.
