I'm waiting for my 2nd convertible to arrive in a few weeks and trying to decide about the chrome headlight/taillight rings. I'm planning to black out the grill ring and the belt line but can't decide if i want to black out the headlight/taillight rings or paint them the color of the car.

I've attached a pic and would love your thoughts. I'm terrible at PhotoShop and can't figure out how to change the pic I have to show it either way.

I'm going through the same thing! Though I'm leaving the grill ring chrome, I'm vacillating over changing my headlight and tail light rings to body color. I feel like once you cover one chrome part the rest should follow. I like the chrome on the belt line and handles but can't decide if swapping out the light rings will make it look unfinished.

 

I prefer the black trim. I even have a local guy that is just about to paint the grill trim black so it will all look great.
