there has got to be a trick to removing the chrome ring around the grill. i've seen multiple pictures of those who have done it...

i've attempted that feat today and can report it didnt budge.

whats the process? please.

I thought it was held on by a bunch of clips around the circumference of the grill?

 

easier said than done, my friend.

 

it is held on by a bunch of clips. Remove the whole grill, and take a pair of needle nose pliers carfully to the back of the grille, where the tabs for the chrome go thru.
