OEM Driving Lights - RECODE ECU????

Help,

Just read a post on MINI2.com and minisport.com that says that the ECU of the MINI needs to be reprogrammed when you fit the driving lights kit. Does anyone on here that has fitted the OEM kit had any reprogramming done???

I have bought the kit and deciding to fit it?

thanks

There is no need to recode the car for the factory driving lights kit.

This is not entirely true. If you buy the factory light kits offered by some of the aftermarket companies you'll need the dealer activation. MINI offers 2 different wiring looms depending on where the kit is sold. I've got the installation .pdf's for both styles. If anyone needs one, or both, of them just shoot me a PM.
