Interior/Exterior OEM Heated seats question...
OEM Heated seats question...
I'm installing OEM heated seats in my 2013 MCS. The passenger seat has the sensor to detect when someone is sitting in the seat and turns the airbag on. My question is this. Do the MCS that come factory with heated seats have a heating pad on the base of the seat or just the back of the seat. If anyone has any valid info on this please chime in. I'm wondering if the heated seat pad just goes on top of the sensor or if there is some sort of barrier between them. Thanks for your input. I've attached pics of the sensor mat on the seat.
I am swapping the heating pads from my original leather seats to my lounge leather seats that apparently did not have heat even though they advertised they did. I have the driver's side out and it is indeed 2 pads, a bottom and a back. I have not pulled apart the passenger side yet, although I expect the same. I can supply pictures of the removed pads if necessary. I have not installed them yet.
