Has anyone tried to vinyl wrap their wheel arch and other black plastic rubber trims? I'm considering doing a gloss black vinyl wrap over paint to match the windshield trims. I want to use black vinyl because, one I can do this myself more easily and with experience, and two it can be redone more easily since they are parts that do get dings more easily.

Does anyone know if vinyl will stick to them? I have vinyl samples but until one has tried on a large surface it is really hard to tell what the end result will be and I'd rather not waste good vinyl wrap which can be expensive.

I'm also curious to see how it would look if others have done this...

 

I.ve seen them done in a CF wrap. Would suggest using the 3m vinyl adhesive or something similar to help it to stick well.
