Vic,

Shhhh, you're being entirely too reasonable.

I have a friend who rides the same motorcycle that I ride.

He spend $1,200 to change the exhaust pipes on his bike because he liked the new pipe sound better.

That's $1,200 that won't go into his kid's college fund. I have no problem with his decision, but smile quietly to myself.

In the movie Annie Hall, the camera eavesdrops on a conversation at a cocktail party.

A woman is explaining to her friends that 'I finally had my first orgasm... and my analyst told me it was the wrong kind!'

The new cars are not ugly... at least no more ugly than those that preceded this model

If you drove a pre-2000 mini, the new look may have been an abomination to you. THEY knew what a MINI was supposed to look like... how dare anyone tamper with the classic style?

Looking at my 2004 and 2014 side by side, I had to point out the differences to my family. To the rest of the world, a MINI hardtop is a MINI hardtop.

Are the brake ducts really functional? Do they direct air right to the brake disc? Or do they just dump air into the wheel well.

Agreed 110%! I bought a MINI to be different, and now I want to make my MINI different from everyone elses... Lol

Just like anything else in this life, it matters only what your personal preference is. I love the front of my MCS. I wouldn't change it. I think it makes the car look a little more "beefy" for lack of a better term.

I have had the absolute honor and privilege of owning, and or driving some of the most exotic cars, and this Mini model is just as exciting as they were.

If someone wants to change it, go for it, gotta love what you're driving!!!

I would prefer the black bumper be body colored, even on my BRG II MCS, it would look better in my opinion. The rear hatch piece also, looks better in body color. A justa front end with the body colored bumper would look very nice, again just my opinion.

Originally I was going to buy MCS but decided to go with the MC, I did not like the look of front end of MC as much as the MCS. What I ended up buying was Deep Blue with Black Roof and Black Wheels with the Black Bonnet Stripes. When I get it I will post pictures. It took me sometime to decided on MC or MCS and on this color and combination. Once I have my Mini I will post pictures and I think for me I will like it and anyone who doesn't like my choice I am okay with it.

The S would look stupid with a Cooper bumper on it, IMO.

I just colour coded my bumper bar, and it has changed the look of the front

I have seen a Cooper bumper with the S honeycomb grille fitted, and as I say - not for me.

The Cooper bumper looks too weak for a car with the S badge on it - again, just my opinion.

Somebody just photoshop a hood scoop onto a cooper, that's exactly how it would look if you add a cooper bumper to an S. Boom, debate over... Lol

This, I would be interested to see. I have been considering this exact swap.

I guess if it was me I would wait a bit and see what aftermarket aero kits come up with. Ive seen a few floating around the web that have a front bumper cover that looks pretty awesome and makes the front end easy on the eyes!

How about selling a painted version of the JCW rear spoiler. Rather than primer - perhaps black! I would get one if the price was right!!

I would be nice if people would stay on topic regarding fitment of new bumper instead of defending their choice whatever it is.

I'm very interested in this too. I want to order the Justa mainly because I can't stand the look of the S front bumper, and honestly I'm not crazy about the rear as well, looks tack on and makes the car look heavy and taller than it is (kind of like Fiat 500). However I don't like Justa's single tail pipe look, I have an OCD about symmetry and Justa doesn't have it... I'd love a twin center exhaust look of the S...

Another issue is color match on light colored bumpers. I'm afraid the light bumper will show imperfect color match more than darker colors.

But yeah, I'd love to see people go for it and show some results.

Painted MINI Products

If there is anyone else who is interested in having items painted, please contact us directly at mini@sewellparts.com.

We do a body shop on site and we are willing to research quotes for most items.

Please note- We would not be able to paint and ship a full JCW Aerodynamics kit. We would be willing to paint all other items such as spoilers, hood scoops, grip hands, etc..

*We are researching the logistics of painting and shipping bumpers, and may offer this in the future.

Thanks again!

I've photoshopped the Cooper Bumper on the Cooper S Bumper many times. Prefer the cleaner design of the Cooper Bumper. If I get a F56, it's probably what I would do.

Anyone thinking about changing there MCS front bumper for a MC one?-tdm4wgn.jpg

Dave/MrCooper - couldn't agree more. There is something "want to be" (a race car driver) about the front of the S. I like the less "look at me" look of the non S. Sophisticated.

My S grille came in today. I will post up photos once I have it installed on my Justa. There won't be a hood scoop, but it'll be close to the look y'all are looking for.

Looks weak to me.

Swings and roundabout - some will like, some won't!

For me, the S needs the more aggressive front end - its an S!!

One of the primary reasons I got a Justa in White Silver! The grill area looks cleaner and better thought out, and the rear boot hatch trim piece almost matches the White Silver exactly. Too boot, the matte chrome 3 bar grill inserts also almost match White Silver......MCS front end is not my thing....Just my opinion. I also have a Justa Paceman, and the Justa grill on that model looks way better than the S version Paceman......

I prefer the look of the Justa front bumper too. However, I have a Pepper White MINI and I even painted my brake ducts BRG and I like it. I just wished that it didn't protrude as much as it does. I may change mine out to the JCW body kit when it becomes available but will wait until I can see it in the flesh. I still think my R56 was much better looking in the front than my F56 but the technology in the F56 makes it all worthwhile. I just wish that Penny didn't look so shocked all the time. Agree totally that the S bumper is great on the darker colours but mine is light and I've painted the brake ducts and I think it's okay.
